The terrain of the native pasture area varies from nearly level to gently rolling. The brush canopy is a mixture of sand sage, mesquite and shinnery. The CRP has a mostly level terrain. This area is in a good stand of mixed grasses. An added benefit to the Joyce Farm is the recreational aspect. This area of Terry County is known for its good quail hunting and large mule deer populations. Several good mule deer have been seen on and harvested from this property.
